$325,000 Verdict – Sayed v. Helmbright

Bennett Injury Law obtained a $325,000 verdict in Collin County for our client, Maged Ibrahim, who was sitting in the passenger seat of his brother-in-law’s car when another car, driven by Ms. Helmbright, ran a red light and crashed into them. Liability was contested because the defendant claimed she did not run a red light.

The entire Jury verdict was for past physical pain. Last offer before trial was $19k. Plaintiff’s only treatment after the crash was 3 months of chiropractic treatment (from September-December 2017) and 3 visits to an orthopedic surgeon in 2017 that included 2 trigger point injections. Our client refused to get recommended ESIs and had no surgical recommendation. But he had an MRI showing 3 herniated discs in his neck and 2 in his low back, and the ER after the crash diagnosed a busted ear drum.

Plaintiffs’ treating chiropractor was the only expert to testify at trial.
