Start with what happened

A contract review should connect the paperwork to the sales story.

A loan document alone rarely tells the whole story. We look for the places where the written terms, electronic record, installation history, and salesperson's promises do—or do not—match.

The price or savings changed

The cash price, financed amount, dealer fee, payment schedule, tax-credit pitch, or promised utility savings may not match what you understood.

The signing is disputed

You may have been shown only a signature screen, told you were signing a quote, or found initials, dates, or signatures you do not recognize.

The system never delivered

Installation may be incomplete, permission to operate may be missing, production may be far below the pitch, or the installer may have closed.

The agreement follows the house

A loan, lease, PPA, transfer clause, payoff demand, or UCC filing may now affect a sale, refinance, inheritance, or roof repair.

What the review can answer

The first useful answer is not a score. It is a document-based decision.

After reviewing the available record, the legal team can identify which questions require investigation and which possible paths are supported by the documents.

  • What type of agreement you have: loan, lease, power purchase agreement, or another structure
  • Which company is responsible for each promise, payment, warranty, filing, or installation obligation
  • Whether the written disclosures and electronic-signature record match the transaction you describe
  • Which dispute process the contract requires, including notice, arbitration, or litigation provisions
  • What evidence should be preserved before contacting the seller, installer, lender, credit bureau, or regulator
  • Which outcomes may be legally supportable, without promising cancellation or recovery

Documents to gather

Bring what you have. Missing paperwork should not stop the first call.

Original files are best. Do not edit screenshots, emails, recordings, DocuSign messages, or PDFs before preserving a copy.

Sales proposal, purchase agreement, loan, lease, or PPA

DocuSign or other e-signature completion certificate and emails

Utility bills before and after installation

Loan statements, payment history, payoff quote, and credit reporting

Texts, emails, voicemails, advertisements, and salesperson contact information

Permits, inspection records, permission-to-operate notices, warranties, and service tickets

Solar contract review questions

Clear answers before you make the problem harder to unwind.

Can a lawyer guarantee that my solar contract will be cancelled?

No. Cancellation depends on the agreement, evidence, applicable law, available defendants, deadlines, and dispute process. A responsible review identifies possible claims and remedies without promising an outcome.

What if I never received a complete copy of the contract?

You can still begin with the documents, emails, texts, bills, and account records you have. Missing documents may become part of the investigation, and the review can identify what should be requested or preserved next.

What if the salesperson said I was only signing a quote?

Save every message and describe exactly what appeared on the device. The written agreement and electronic-signature audit trail should be compared with what you were told and what you understood you were authorizing.

Should I stop paying the solar loan while it is disputed?

Do not change payments based only on general internet information. Missed payments can affect credit and collection activity. Ask a lawyer about your specific agreement and circumstances before changing course.

Does the free review create an attorney-client relationship?

No. Sending the form or speaking during an initial evaluation does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after the firm and client sign an engagement agreement.

Independent consumer guidance

Start with the documents, not a cancellation promise.

Federal consumer agencies likewise tell homeowners to compare the complete terms, costs, warranties, cancellation provisions, and sales claims.
