Solar financing review

Remember your solar installer? Start here.

The company that sold you solar may be different from the company collecting your payments. Find the name you recognize, then connect it to the financing documents that matter.

An installer bankruptcy does not automatically cancel your financing. Your agreement and supporting records matter.

Installer directory

Find the company on your solar paperwork.

These entries bring together historical public records and financing references. A listing does not establish wrongdoing, prove a homeowner's claim or identify every lender an installer used.

Don't see your installer? We consider qualifying GoodLeap, Sunlight Financial, EverBright and BrightOak financing with any installer. A directory listing is not required. Agreement types and proof requirements apply.

Three records can help identify your financing.

  1. 1. Your installation agreement

Look for the seller's full legal name, any business name and the date you signed. Keep the proposal and warranty documents too.

  2. 2. Your financing agreement

Find the named creditor, loan or retail installment contract, and any lease or power purchase agreement. A sales logo alone does not identify the agreement.

  3. 3. Your latest statement

Check who receives payments today and save any servicing-transfer notices. The servicer, creditor and installer can have different roles.

Any installer

Your installer does not have to be on this list.

Bennett Legal considers GoodLeap, Sunlight Financial, EverBright loans and retail installment contracts, and BrightOak matters with any installer. EverBright leases and PPAs are excluded. BrightOak PPAs qualify only with documented proof of a filed UCC-1.

How to find a solar UCC-1 filing

Start with your financing company

Statement names a different company? Compare the original financing agreement and any servicing-transfer notices. You can request an initial review while identifying the financing brand; a different payment collector does not by itself establish eligibility.

Bennett Legal is not affiliated with GoodLeap, Sunlight Financial, EverBright or BrightOak.

You can start with the paperwork you have.

Tell us the installer's name, the financing company on your agreement and what happened. We will explain what additional documents are needed for an individual review.
