Installer records and your solar paperwork

Lumio: bankruptcy and financing questions

Lumio Holdings, Lumio HX, an asset buyer and a current account servicer may appear in different records. Compare the entity and role stated in your signed contract, bankruptcy notice and later service or transfer notices. Bennett Legal is not affiliated with Lumio.

An installer bankruptcy does not automatically cancel your financing. Your agreement and supporting records matter.

Questions homeowners ask

Lumio records and financing questions

Does Lumio's bankruptcy cancel my solar loan?

The bankruptcy filing does not automatically cancel a separate financing agreement. Review the complete loan or retail installment contract, the sales documents, the installation history and any later account notices. An individual evaluation is needed to identify any supported claim or defense.

Who is responsible after Lumio's assets were sold?

An asset sale can change who performs particular projects or services without transferring every earlier obligation. Match the installer, creditor, current servicer, equipment manufacturer and any successor to the actual documents and written notices for your system.

What if Lumio installed the panels but the system never worked?

Keep dated photos, utility and permit correspondence, monitoring data, repair estimates and communications about activation. Bring those records alongside your financing agreement and statements so the technical problem and the financing issue can be reviewed together.

Should I send documents before I know the current loan holder?

You can request an evaluation with the information you have. Send the original agreement and the most recent statement, including any transfer notice. The financing brand on the sales paperwork and the company servicing the account may differ.

What solar financing can Bennett Legal review?

A BrightOak PPA requires its contract and documented proof of a filed UCC-1. An installer does not have to appear in this directory.

You can start with the paperwork you have.
