How to request deletion of your personal information

Charles Bennett Law, PLLC, doing business as Bennett Legal (“Bennett Legal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how to ask us to delete information we hold about you, including information we received when you responded to one of our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram.

How to request deletion

Email [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. To help us find your records, please include:

  • The full name you used when you contacted us
  • The email address and phone number you submitted
  • Roughly when you contacted us, if you remember
  • Where you contacted us from — for example a Facebook or Instagram ad, or our website

You may also call us at 972-972-4969 and ask for the intake team. We will confirm receipt of your request and tell you what we are able to delete.

What information this covers

When you respond to one of our advertisements or submit a form on our website, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, and any details you chose to share about your situation. We may also receive information about which advertisement or campaign you responded to. We do not receive your Facebook or Instagram password, and we do not post anything to your account.

What we can and cannot delete

If you contacted us but never became a client, we can delete your inquiry and contact information from our intake systems.

If Bennett Legal has represented you, or if your information is part of a matter subject to a legal hold, a court order, or a professional record-retention obligation, we may be required to retain certain records even after you ask us to delete them. Lawyers in Texas are obligated to maintain client files for a period of time, and that obligation exists to protect you. Where we cannot delete a record, we will tell you why and explain how long we are required to keep it.

Removing your information from Facebook and Instagram

This page covers information held by Bennett Legal. Meta Platforms, Inc. maintains its own copy of information associated with your Facebook or Instagram account, and deleting your information with us does not delete it there. To manage or remove information held by Meta, use the privacy settings inside the Facebook or Instagram app, or visit Meta Accounts Center.
